With more than 60 years of expertise in stainless steel wire rope, chain, hardware, and cable assemblies, Arcus Wire Group continues to set the benchmark in precision, innovation and quality.

Our two dedicated test beds: a 60-tonne machine (48t test capacity, 8m test length) for versatile testing and a 300-tonne machine (240t test capacity, 15m test length) for heavy-duty applications, are calibrated to Australian Standard AS 2193-2005: (R2017). They enable full proof load, cyclic, and destruction testing of stainless steel wire and synthetic ropes, chains, shackles, and more.

This testing capability played a critical role in the Kai Tak Sport Park project in Hong Kong – the city’s new world-class sports stadium precinct. Working with Fabritecture HK and Maffeis Engineering, Arcus Wire Group designed, manufactured, and tested stainless steel cables and fittings to support the ETFE canopy system spanning 7,000 sqm over the sports avenue.

To meet the project’s strict installation requirements, with no on-site cable adjustment possible, our engineering team designed and manufactured 10,000 custom hamma® stainless steel swage fork fittings and assembled 5,324 precision cables using hamma® X 1×19 stainless steel wire rope. All cables were produced at our Queensland manufacturing facility and verified through rigorous in-house testing and QA documentation to ensure exacting tolerances and performance under load.
