Arcus Wire Group Featured in Australian Stainless Magazine Issue 83

We’re proud to be featured in the latest edition of Australian Stainless Magazine (Issue 83) – highlighting our contribution to the new Alfred Street Pedestrian Bridge in Parramatta, NSW and our ASSDA Award win🏆

Alfed Street Pedestrian Bridge, Parramatta NSW

The article showcases Australia’s first true diagonal arch pedestrian bridge. This landmark project demonstrates how stainless steel engineering can deliver long-term performance, safety and design excellence.

Originally designed with a combination of mild steel and stainless components, the balustrade system was reimagined when Arcus Wire Group was invited to propose an enhanced solution. Our team identified an opportunity to deliver a fully stainless steel design, improving corrosion resistance, durability, lifecycle value and eliminating issues associated with dissimilar metals.

We delivered Teufelberger-Redaelli Full Locked Coil (FLC) structural cables, installed by Teufelberger-Redaelli’s expert team, which support the suspended walkway from the bridge’s striking diagonal arch. These precision-engineered cables provide the strength and reliability essential for the bridge’s 80m span and busy pedestrian load.

ASSDA Award 2025

The latest edition of Australian Stainless Magazine (Issue 83), also highlights our recent ASSDA Award for our Pathway of Progress project at Georgia Tech in the USA.

Fabricated entirely in Australia and installed in the United States, the project transformed over 3,500 aluminium tiles into a durable stainless steel structure featuring mirror, gold, and textured finishes. It required thousands of custom fittings, cables, and rods, all designed and executed with the precision and technical excellence that define Arcus Wire Group’s approach to every project.

This is the second ASSDA Award for our team. In 2022 we were awarded the Fabricator Project of the Year Award 2022 for our hamma® duplex 2205 project. The project involved manufacturing, fabricating, and testing of hamma® duplex 2205 cable assemblies in our Gold Coast facility prior to exporting to the middle-east.
